Micheal Corsello; Food Retailing in America

Michael Corsello is our international guest at the Big&Small 7.0 and he will take part to the session work “Internazionalisation: instruction for use”
 
Michael Corsello is a Senior Executive in Specialty Food. Nowadays is Executive Vice President at Gastronomix, a consulting company who works with producers who want to expand their sales in the USA. In the course of his career, Corsello has held many positions with specialty retailers and gained several achievements in the areas of growing sales in cheese, delicatessen, charcuterie, prepared foods, and specialty grocery, designing and executing private label programs, as well as developing direct purchasing agreements with foreign manufacturers.   

    

Mr. Corsello’s speech is titled “Food Retailing in America: Regional aspects of the U.S. Marketplace”, during which he will talk about US needs in order to make Italian manufacturing enterprises more competitive in such a demanding and different market. Corsello will explain that the U.S. market has to be considered by Italian producers as a continent and not just like a nation. Furthermore he will explain which is the best way to “attack” the US market, and he will point out which are the needs of Italian companies to enter the US market as well. In the course of his speech, Corsello will indicate which are the regions who can be considered as a guides to invest and sell in US market, afterword he will point out what Italian firms have to do if they want to export from Italy to US. Finally he will explain how to deal with launching and marketing Italian products, focusing on any related steps like making a budget, introducing deals, sales discounts, advertising fees, samples, demonstrations and printed materials.
